The theme day on water, held in Brussels on 1 December 2025 and organised by the Royal Academy for Overseas Sciences, brought together young researchers working on overseas topics to discuss the growing global challenges related to water.

On Monday, 9 December 2024, the sixth Young Researchers Overseas Day was organized by the Royal Academy for Overseas Sciences (Belgium). This event is aimed at researchers younger than 40 who are working overseas in various research fields. These fields should fit into one of the scientific disciplines of the 3 sections of the Royal Academy for Overseas Sciences. The Young Researchers’ Day is an opportunity to meet one another, discuss, exchange ideas and know more about the Academy and its activities.

The workshop SAFEGUARDING SALT LAKE BRINE SHRIMP (ARTEMIA) RESOURCES FOR AQUACULTURE, organized by RAOS, FAO and ANSO jointly with NACA and the International Artemia Aquaculture Consortium, was held in Rome (2-5 September) with over 30 participants from various continents. It was followed by a round-up meeting on September 6 in Brussels.
